English Ordinal Numbers
To spell ordinal numbers, just add -th to cardinal numbers, such as fourth and sixteenth. There are exceptions: first, second, third, fifth, eighth, ninth, and twelfth. When expressed as figures, the last two letters of the written word are added to the ordinal number.
